About the center
The Vision of CECAN is to become a reference research Cancer Center in Chile and Latin America and the Caribbean, recognized by its high-quality scientific production and its capacity to translate investigation into evidence-driven public policies.
The Cancer Center (CECAN) aims to improve Chile’s response to the burden and challenge of cancer by creating a nationwide research platform to identify best practices for cancer risk factor surveillance, prevention, early detection, and cancer cares, thus generating high quality evidence and providing policy proposals that add value population’s health and maximize health system’s production in the most equitable manner.
