About the center

For more than 20 years, this station has investigated natural ecosystems and their relationship with the sector’s communities. It has transformed into an important center of scientific knowledge and education on southern temperate forests, local sustainable development and ecological research on the island, such as the sustainable water supply system for rural communities conducted with the Provincial Government of Chiloé.
